A bilingual insurance agency built by two women who got tired of watching people make confusing decisions alone.
Why we built this
ZenMed Advisors started with a simple observation: in the U.S., the people most likely to need help with health insurance are also the most likely to be handed a phone number, a website, and a "good luck."
Spanish-speaking families. Adults turning 65 with adult children trying to help from another state. Self-employed parents juggling premiums and grocery bills. Small business owners who want to take care of their employees but can't afford traditional group plans. American expats who moved to Colombia and realized — too late — that their U.S. plan didn't move with them.
We built ZenMed Advisors to be the agency we wished those families had.
We're independent, which means we're not loyal to any one insurance company — we're loyal to the person in front of us. We're bilingual, which means we work in English and Spanish with equal fluency. And we're family, which means we understand what it feels like to make health decisions while also caring for the people you love.
This isn't a call center. It's a practice.
Floribel Merced

Floribel is the founding face of ZenMed Advisors and a licensed insurance agent based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. For 5 years, she has helped families and retirees navigate Medicare, ACA, and supplemental coverage with the same calm, patient approach she brings to every conversation.
She specializes in Medicare, LTC planning, working with Spanish-speaking seniors and their families. Clients describe her as the agent who explains things until they make sense — and then explains them one more time, just to make sure.
Floribel is certified by Connect for Health Colorado. She's also the daughter who used to bring her mother to her educational events — the same mother her family is now caring for at home. That experience shapes how she works: with patience, with respect for the whole family, and without ever rushing the conversation.

Berenice Suarez

Berenice spent 20 years managing complex, people-heavy operations — restaurants, residential properties, teams under pressure — before transitioning into Medicare insurance, where she built a book of clients across ACA, Medicare, and Colorado's Omnisalud program.
She specializes in serving adults turning 65, individuals and families navigating ACA, small business owners exploring ICHRA, and American expats in Latin America who need international health coverage. Her clients tend to be the ones who've been burned by pushy agents before — and who, after working with her, send their family members her way.
Berenice is fluent in English and Spanish and works with clients across the U.S. and Latin America (with a particular focus on Colombia). She's certified by Connect for Health Colorado.
What she brings to ZenMed Advisors is two decades of operational discipline and a sales background built on follow-through, not pressure. She's also the partner in the family currently helping care for Floribel's mother — which is one of the reasons this agency is designed around flexibility, not volume.
